Morphology guide: The pyramid

The pyramid or A morphology:

Also called a triangle body shape, this silhouette is characterized by hips wider than the shoulders and a well-defined waist. If you have a pyramid type body shape, you have an elegant neckline and thin, well-proportioned arms. You tend to gain weight in your pelvis but also in your legs. You are thin at the top and rounder at the bottom. The pyramid morphology is the most common.

Your assets: A sensual and feminine silhouette, a pretty waist and an elegant head posture.

Mademoiselle Grenade’s advice:

The goal is to draw attention to the upper body and draw attention away from the hips. To do this, you must add volume or create an illusion of volume on the upper body and emphasize the waist. Thus, you will create an effect of balance, between the bust and the hips, which will bring you closer to the hourglass morphology.

We will therefore opt for patterned tops in light colors, boat necklines or V-necks (if you have a small chest, consider wearing a push-up). Finally, to rebalance our silhouette, we opt for a jacket with shoulders .

For the bottom, we prefer straight, wide and flowing pants or trapeze or flared skirts to hide the hips.

Accessory side: Don't hesitate to wear a large necklace, a scarf and earrings. And above all, don't forget the heels... The higher they are, the more elongated your silhouette will be.

Mademoiselle Grenade advises you against:

Fitted pants, leggings, carrot cuts ... Also avoid tops that highlight a small chest such as U-necks, tops that are too tight as well as belted coats (with the exception of the trench). Finally, forget about tops and jackets that are darker than skirts and pants.

On the celebrity side: Among celebrities, it is Jennifer Lopez who is the “official” representative of the pyramid morphology.
